No, hair does not grow slower in the winter months. It appears to because during the winter, the hair goes through many changes. The winter air is very damaging to the hair, therefore, the hair is more susceptible to breakage. That is because the dry air has a tendency to dry your hair follicles which is the cause of split ends, and well, there you have breakage. Also your scalp may appear to be dryer, and well, there you have more hair in your brush effect. Also, whether you do or do not handle your hair often during the winter will have an effect on it as well. Don't forget, your hair needs to breathe, so give it a rest from the caps and the tie backs. Remember, whether during the warmer or colder climates, your hair needs to remain healthy, and keeping it well conditioned and trimmed when needed will enhance your crown no matter the time of year.

Not quite, but what can really make it grow a bit slower is the fact that your scalp may get a bit dry during this season, so you might want to try using products that will help condition your scalp

It's a toss up. Some studies have seemingly proven that hair grows faster in warmer weather, which seems like it would be true, since reactions usually speed up in warmer conditions, so why not hair growth? yet on the other hand, it does seem like an old wives' tale. I would try asking your hairdresser next time you go in.

definite, the hair enhance is alot slower in the fall and iciness than the sproing and summer time. in the process the chilly season your hair sheds alot greater for regrowth which will take until eventually the hotter season for it to enhance out. only wait and spot and it will enhance out. sturdy success.

There is no proof, but many believe that the cold slows down the growth.
