I mean how do you install it if you currently have a normal lighting system?

You will need to reinforce that metal box in the ceiling to make sure it can take the load.

Find the breaker in the box Shut that off first.

Then take those two screws out that hold the metal fixture in place up there.

You will see a cross bar across the metal fixture. usually with a pipe type thread in the center. If you dont have one in there the chandelier kit has one in there.

Next you determine if that metal box is fastened to the wood joist up there with sufficient strenth. If not add more screws to it and if its in the middle. and that isnt possible go to Lowes and they have this Fixture Brace that slips in there and uses a Jack Screw to go between the joists. They will explain how to use that gadget. It will give you sufficent strenth to hold the fixture.

Then screw that pipe into that cross brace across that newly reinforced or mounted metal box bar. The fixture then slips over that long threaded pipe with a cap and screw nut and chain assembly. Of course attach the black to black and white to white and ground wire. That is a given and you are DONE.
