I know the answer and I have written a four single space paper on the role of husband and wife. However, I am not a pastor's wife. All the the responses are good. I want to know how a pastor and his wife feel? What are their opinion? I have to teach this to a group of pastor's wives in Nairobi, Kenya, and I didn't want it to be onesided.

The duty of a pastor's wife is to be a faithful wife. I used to pastor pastors. One of the biggest dangers is when the boundary got confused and either the congregation expected the wife to "work" free or when the wife thought she was "called" to special authority.

The Godly Wife is measured by her own faith and comportment whether she is married to a Pastor or layman. The Proverbs 31 woman is a sharing and productive woman both in the home and out of it.

1 Peter 3:1-6 (NIV)
Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, [2] when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. [3] Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. [4] Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. [5] For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, [6] like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.

God says, "i do no longer enable a woman to tutor or to have authority over a guy" (one million Timothy 2:12). The Pastor is the coaching authority over a given congregation. to boot, Jesus constantly chosen adult males to be Apostles, nevertheless he had women individuals disciples. women individuals function deacons, as Sunday college instructors and basically approximately something that any of the adult males can do, different than pastor. The pastor is head of the congregation, as Christ is head of the church, as a husband is head of his spouse. there's a modeled order, no longer of value or high quality, yet of creation. i could have fellowship with those that disagree in this, and a great style of do, provided that's no longer a controversy of heresy or apostacy, whether it is one that has been understood for the previous 2 thousand years. Christ became the god-"guy," sent by skill of a "Father" in heaven to elect twelve "male" apostles to make certain "adult males" as pastors to tutor and characteristic authority in community congregtation in perpetuity. Equality isn't a controversy, yet divine prerogative.
