I'm not sure what you mean by the inside of the window, but if yo are referring to the trim, then you paint it differently. Normally walls and ceilings are painted with a flat paint or eggshell. and when you paint the trim i.e. crown moldings, baseboards, or chair rails you paint those with at least a different sheen or glossiness. u would use a semigloss or a pearl or something. When you paint wood u want a gloss of some sorts. And painting different aspects of a room different colors really helps to liven up the room and gives it some contrast. the only downsides is that it cost more in time, and money. but worth it. especially if u own the room u are painting. if its a rental property or u rent then maybe all one color.

When we painted my sons bedroom we used two different colors for the walls. We painted the inside of the window seal the opposite color of the wall and it looked really good. But yes, you are supposed to paint the inside of the window seal.

Two thoughts: 1. it is cheaper to use one color, the same as the room: 2. The room would look better with some diversity, the trim (windows and baseboard) to be white

Personally, I would not paint the window. Makes it impossible to see out.
