He made me promise never to drink alcohol in my life. He won't let me talk to any boys. He gets really freaky about what I wear and how much skin is showing. Which is weird because normally I just wear sweatpants and a shirt. He doesn't like it when I am around my friends because he is worried I'll do something bad or illegal. Which I guess isn't that bad... And he doesn't like me watching rated R movies.
On ther other hand, he is the sweetest boy I've ever met. He may be harsh and honest but only because he cares about me and doesn't want me to be hurt. I love him so much. I've been with him for 13 months. It may sound corny but we even have promise rings that we'll get married one day. (my idea.) I want to be with him for the rest of my life.

...Well, he is definately a control freak. It isn't right that he feels he can weild his power like he does over you, but he is only doing it because you will take it. And just because he isn't doing things to really really hurt you now does not mean he will never do something like that. Just recognize that YOU have the power to do what u want when you feel and nobody has the right to subject u to their will like he is to you. You may like how he is making you feel now but he could be leading you into a trap.... he sounds kind of crazy to me hun. I'm just looking out for u.

Well the cons seem to outweigh the pros. That controlling attitude of his may cause some detrimental effects later on. I think that a certain extent of freedom and TRUST is needed in a relationship, and your boyfriend isn't alotting you that. If you love him so much and if you can bear that controlling factor then stay. Good luck to you.

just think over what you want and imagine the future with him and the way he acts and also how you react to them... look at your options and see if you can cope/deal with them or not. if you think you can, go for it.. he may be a control freak but you two complete the pieces of a puzzle.. if not, then maybe have a talk with him about it. good luck!!

Ok, here is my answer, some women.. like myself, don't mind a man who wants a little control. It sounds to me like he is a little insecure..not wanting you to talk to guys, or hang out with your friends. I mean...sometimes you can tell a lot about what someone else is doing wrong by what they are afraid you are doing wrong... are you sure he is being the man you want HIM to be..be sure of that before you start being the woman he wants you to be.

don't marry him he is trouble and a boyfriend don't have no right to control your life.and he is showing how he is and well be.the the rings are to make you his maid .
