I didnot live in a project but I drove a cab in the Bronx, and believe me it`s no different. It used to be really really bad, but now Brooklyn has almost the same or maybe more crimes than Bronx. So no matter where you go in NYC, you have the potential of something bad happening. But like I said I don`t know much about the Projects.

While the south Bronx used to be the poster child for urban decay, these day's it's really not all that bad. It's definitely not a wealthy neighborhood, but there are far worse places scattered all around the city.

I live in the south bronx. i actually live very near soundviw, and my mom works around Throgs Neck. The south bronx is like any other city, there are bad places and good palces, there are bad people and there are good people. Nothing to be afraid of.

Going through at 2 in the afternoon is a lot safer than going through at 2 in the morning, just like millions of other places in the world.
