Is there a site to get a ballpark estimate on your return? I don't have any deductions or credits so my return is as simple as could be. I'm just looking for statistics. Ex. 10k-20k income will earn you roughly 43% of your paid taxes. Stats like that so then I could just do the math to get a ballpark figure on what I'll be getting.

Its called a Form 1040. Put whatever numbers you have on the form. The estimate will be as accurate as the numbers you use. There are to many variables for any 'ballpark estimate' to have any meaning.

HI,

The amount of your tax deduction is based primarily on your filing status ie "single 0 married 1" and so on. This is the information you put on your W2 to let the gov't know how much money to withold from each check. Other factors are where you live hom much you make and what the state witholdings on your income are.

In short it is fair to estimate that roughly 5-10% of your witholdings will be returned, (based on claiming zero deductions) and you can ballpark this out at turbotax.com

Hope this helps...email me if you need more specifics...tjprods@aol.com

If you are talking just Federal tax than 1000-9000 about 10%
10000 to 11%
11000 to 16000 12%
17000 to 29000 13 1/2 to 13 3/4%
so your gross minus the first 8450 = ???? than take that number by the above percentage and subract what you paid in
