Paint is built into the OS. Go to the Control Panel and double click on Add/Remove Programs. Then click on Add/Remove Windows Componets which is located on the left side. Double Click on Accessories and Utilities then double click on Accessories. Scroll down and put a check mark next to Paint. Close everything out and click on Start Programs, Accessories and you should see the program listed. Good Luck.

If you have the install disk, you can load it onto your computer from the disk. There is even a chance that it is on your machine, but not installed. The way to find out is to go to START | SETTINGS | CONTROL PANEL | ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS | ADD/REMOVE WINDOWS COMPONENTS. Then highlight Accessories/Utilities and click DETAILS. In the Accessories and Utilities dialog box, highlight Accessories and click details. Now, find Paint. If the box is unchecked, you can check the box and click OK. Then, the install application will prompt you if it needs the Windows CD. If it is already on your drive, it will find it without the CD.

i'd though go with for living domicile domicile windows XP, because of the very actuality that is been round for an prolonged time and has reliability and stability. save remote from Vista for a jointly as until eventually eventually each and every and each and every of the insects and reliability matters were regarded after. also, Microsoft workplace is a application kit, no longer an operating gadget.

When XP is installed, you can chose which MS programs to install, if you do a custom installation (instead of typical). Go to add/remove programs in the control panel, and click on :Add/Remove Windows Components you should be able to install it from there, (it will be in the "accessories and utilities" category)
