I think it depends on the child. My first son took naps until he was 5, by my second (who will be 3 in March) is being weened off of them because I can't get to bed at a decent hour at night. Both the daycare and I try to only let him nap for a maximum of 1 1/2 hours. Since we started that, it has gotten better. Check out the website below to help with any questions you have. Hope this helps!

Sometimes my six year old needs a good nap (or maybe it's me who could use the snooze), but it is too much of a wrestling match to get him to sleep so he hasn't had a nap since he was three or so.

i think it all depends on the child, i have a 3 year old daughter and she still has some day sleeps it, some days are different, i think there is no age limit for the child to stop napping..

Every child is different. My son (almost 5) still needs a nap sometimes, but my daughter (3) rarely ever needs one.

Some kids need it up to 4 yrs old but u will know when your child starts staying up later then his or her regular time.If your child is on a good schedule it will be easy to tell.
