i used to work for a business that i noticed throws customers personal info in dumpster instead of shredding, like credit apps, ss# dl# and dob, i know this is a crime, who do you report it to?

ya, I think it's illegal... you should report it to the authorities

of direction this is unlawful. somebody will pay funds for individuals to return deliver together that rubbish. Why do you think of you may circulate onto somebody's assets and throw rubbish of their dumpster? Why are you driving out of your thank you to drop off rubbish? only throw it out inclusive of your very own rubbish.

I think it would be more effective to notify the consumers of what's going on. The company would surely change policy after several clients threatened to sue, or take their business elsewhere.

I don't think it's illegal unless there's medical information included.

But, just because it's not illegal doesn't mean it's a wise thing to do.

Shredders are cheap and that company should get one.

Try your local police department or google consumer privacy advocate organizations.

Oh, and make sure you get it on videotape.

uh...YES!!! thereis a very gray area between what you are talking about , identity theft, and the HIPPA act. i would shred and burn before you thow out anything.
