I found this at a dealership. Other specs are: (72,414 Km), 1.7L Inline4, 4 Spd Automatic. Full mechanical inspection performed. Is this a good deal? if not, can you suggest a general price for a car similar to the one above?

Hi Celeb, thanks for your great reply. I'm living in Western Canada.

I'd also like to add that I have very little experience buying cars (this would be my first one) so I feel more comfortable going through a reputable dealership, rather than going for something cheaper through a private seller.

Hello,
I'll preface everything I'm about to say with this; it all depends on where you are. Current market value for cars (or any good) vary from city to city.

However, I just bought a 2002 Honda Civic, so I can give you can idea about what I paid. Mine is a 2-dr, V-Tec, black, 4 spd. auto, moonroof, with 50,000 miles. I paid $12,000 with tax/licenses. This was in the Lexington, KY area about 2 months ago. I'd say that's a good price (compared to what they are going for around here, mine was a good deal). It's a great car, absolutely no complaints. Sound good to go to me.

Don't buy anything until you check book value , even a dealership will get you if they can . After all they're trying to make a buck , you may find that you can get a better deal from a private seller .
