Twenty of America's forty-two presidents have had warships named in their honor. A dozen presidents have had submarines named after them, ten presidents have had aircraft carriers named after them, and three have had both submarines and aircraft carriers carry their names.

Nixon, Tyler, both Andrew and L B Johnson, William Harrison, John Q Adams (there is a John Adams, though), Clinton and George W Bush. But so far those are the only ones I can't find in this list...

actually, Carter has a submarine named after him. Fitting, as he was a Submariner in his youth.
SSN-23 USS JIMMY CARTER (last of the Seawolf Class)
it isn't that they were so bad they never got one named after them, it's only that certain classes of Naval vessels are named after people. and of those, even fewer are named for Presidents.. the main one being Aircraft Carriers and we only have so many of them to go around.
Oh, and it's the George HW Bush.. and she's been commissioned already and will be conducting her first sea trials in 2008.

Bad or good has nothing to do with it. It's really political as everything in Washington is. Also, there are many ships named after seamen and privates, cities and states.

would I remind of the disappointing unemployment share Bush left in the back of? a 0.33 time period might want to probable be equivalent to a second time period with Obama. notwithstanding, bill Clinton, had he no longer been impeached (fired in politcal words), might want to've led this usa somewhat extra effective than both the aforementioned presidents. different words, no hairy, as well as Obama-mama, do no longer deserve yet another danger.
