hi i was saying that the vet gave us lixotonic to give to her but is it a pain killer?

Maybe they are giving that as a supplement for the cat since it seems to have not done well post spay. If there was blood loss they may be fighting an anemia.
Whatever, Lixotinic is NOT a pain killer. Just a vitamin/mineral supplement.

Does seem mighty strange as it is supposedly an iron supplement used to stimulate appetite for animals under stress and I guess needing iron.

It doesn't jibe at all with anything the kitten would be needing as result of the spaying. Use of Recue Remedy (a combination flower essence) would seem more appropriate for stress or trauma following surgery.

It should be OK I guess if the vet prescribed it and I would check it out on Monday.
