I would tell the truth even if I had to swear on a pig's head. I don't need to swear on anything to tell the truth. Do you?

I would tell the truth because I am Muslim...But The Koran talks about the bible to be true (the original bible that is...not the concoction the church came up with) So i would tell the truth with the Bible also.
MORPHEUS: Taking the Koran's words out of context is a great way to convince people of how horrible Muslims are. Keep up the good work loser.. Oh yea and get a life I don't run around saying Christianity is a joke and how a bunch of Little boy raping men rewrote the original and true Bible.

To swear on a Holy Book is an ancient formality under the domination of religious leaders in various communities, which cannot evidently guarantee the telling of truth. The telling of truth depends only on the level of human dignity and sincere faith in the One True God. This is realized by conscience, not by formality.

I would want to tell the truth no matter what I swore on. But swearing on a Qur'an wouldn't affect me any more or less than swearing on a Bible, and it seems disrespectful to swear on a Torah...

No. I wouldn't swear on the Bible, the Koran, or any other book of hatred.
And as a Pagan, I have no holy text, so I wonder what they would make me do. I just know I'd sooner swear on the latest issue of Cosmo than on another religion's holy book.

I would only swear on the Bible. The Koran looks frightening looking at the first person's answer.

I don't believe I could be "made" to swear on the Koran. Not in the United States of America...not yet, anyhow.
A forced oath is not binding. An oath taken on a book I don't believe in is not binding.

I would do the same as I would with a Bible, ask why I was being insulted.
I would rather swear on an auto repair manual, at least I would know that it contained some truth.

Since we should not swear on the Bible then perhaps we should not swear on the Quran....we need to tell the truth at all times anyway.
