She has been on antiboitics for a week and the vet said that if she had a UTI you would see a change and it would help it if she does. Nothing has changed she is still laying in the literbox at times and using it and haivng accidents.

You should have seen total improvement by now. Did your vet do a urinalysis? Or is he/she treating based on her symptoms? The antibiotic prescribed may not be affective against the bacteria infecting your cat. Call your vet. They may need to do a culture to determine the best antibiotic for this infection.

Did the vet check to see if there was any sort of blockage in the cat's bladder? Just an idea. Good luck, hope the cat is better soon!

It is time to call your vet and let him know that something else is going on with her. Not a UTI as suspected. Give him a call ASAP and he will certainly check her over for another diagnosis.

Honestlyl I would get a 2nd opinion. This happened w/ my cat, and he ended up having something very serious. Had we not gotten the 2nd opinion he would have died. NOT to scare you. But sometimes vets aren't right.

She should be checked for bladder & kidney stones and have bloodwork done to rule out other causes. Persians are prone to certain kidney diseases.
