as far as I know its 4. If you want to do it as a business then go for it ligitimately because your local council or trading standards to look out for this sort of thing going on why take the risk?

Legally none! The 7 a year urban legend is rubbish.

If you buy one car to sell at a profit you are a dealer and as such liable to all the legalities attatched.

yo man i do the same thing it is about 7 a year but the trick is to not put the new title in your name just leave it in the old owners name and do not sign it and make sure not to date it and not to let the old owners write how much you bought it for. just make sure when you sell it you sell it for around what it is worth. or at the time the new owner goes to reg. it if is to low of a price they will get the law involved almost happen to me

Penny .Loafer you can sell any number of cars but Inland Revenue
will be interested in your activities .A low profile might help .I know this from people who were snared .Good luck to you anyway
