Lust is when you're actually practicing the art of sex. Sexual attraction is just literally "eye candy" that can't be unwrapped.
Chicky, I agree with your answer too.

You cannot draw a line, between something that is one and the same. If you are SEXUALLY attracted to someone, that means you are thinking of them sexually. This is lust. Their is a difference between attraction and lust. With attraction, it mean you think of them more than just sexually. It mean you enjoy their personality, they make you laugh etc... I personally think their is nothing wrong with sexual attraction or lust, but I have a feeling that you are asking because you are religious. In this case, any amount of sexual attraction is a sin. I think it is your personal choice as to what is taking sexual attraction to far. For me it would be if you are married and you cheat. For someone of the church it might be, even having lusting thoughts. You will have to decide this on your own. Don't let anyone else dictate what is right and wrong for you. They don't know you, how can they say what is right and wrong for you?

Old testament, Deuteronomy speaks of man who has a desire
unto a beautiful woman to have her to wife. Deuteronomy 21:
11.
In the new testament, Jesus speaks of lust in connection with
adultery, namely looking, just looking at a married woman. see
Matthew 5: 28.
Two things will actually draw the line for you without you ever
having to worry about it.
If a woman you like doesn't want you back, and if she's already with another man. If that's not enough, then you've gone too far.

Lusting in the heart is taking it too far. Lusting of the eyes Jesus said it would be better to pluck it out. So what is lust? A longing desire for what is not righteous. Is it wrong to look at someone as a sex object? You know the answer. Do you let your mind wander to a sex act. You know the ANSWER.

When you don't stop with being attracted. Remember the story in the Bible about King David and Bathsheba? It was not wrong at all for King David to have admired and been attracted to a beatiful woman bathing in the moonlight on a roof in the summertime. What WAS wrong was that David didn't stop there... he let himself keep thinking about her, and then it escalated to the point that the King committed murder so that he could have Bathsheba.

It's a matter of semantics to me - they are one in the same. If I am sexually attracted to someone, I feel lust for them. This is a natural emotion and there is nothing wrong with it. I probably will never understand why the bible writers considered it to be wrong to feel lust for another.

Sexual attraction is thinking, "Hey, she's hot," and then moving on to other thoughts that are a bit less physical. Lust is thinking, "Yeah, I'd hit that," and then thinking about what it would be like if you did.

Being attracted is normal. Noticing beauty is fine. Once you start using a person for selfish gratification, you have gone too far. Once you start treating them as an object and not as a person with dignity and respect. Lust is not normal. It comes from original sin and is the enemy of love.

When sexual attraction becomes personal, it's lust.
You can be attracted to a type of person, but when it gets being attracted to just one, it can grow into lust.
(Either that or you are a stalker.) ;-)

In the decent and legal marriage between one male adult and one female adult, it is right. Out of that line, it is wrong. The purpose of marriage is for the healthy continuation of the human race to carry out an ever-advancing civilization under the love of the One True God. I am wrong if I fail to observe this principle, and I cannot blame God for prescribing such a strict law.
