okay, ive been begging my mom to let me go to the tanning salon to use their tanning beds. a couple of my friends moms let them get tans their. finally i had had enough, so i snuck out and got a tan their today, since its located a couple blocks away. i returned home and she never found out, because i just stayed in long enough to get a little darker, but mostly to see how it works, so i didnt stay in long. so, i decided im going back tomorrow, to stay in longer, because today i only stayed in for 10 minutes and you can barely tell. before i go again tomorrow without her permission, i want one more chance to get her to say yes, before i disobbey her again. how should i convince her?

You can convince her when you prove to her those things are safe... if you really want a tan, buy it in a bottle.

First of all she is going to know that you tanned. It takes a day or two for the tan to set in so it will be noticeable in a couple days. And with all this talk about tanning your mother will know exactly what you had done. If you aren't able to give a good enough argument to get permission from your mother then you should not disobey her and you shall stay home. This will save you from potentially being punished or disowned.. She will find out, yes, yes she will.

Not a good idea. You will thank mom later on. You have plenty of time to decide when you get older, whether or not you still want to go to the tanning beds, but for now, enjoy the beautiful skin you have. If you really want to add some color to your skin, go the saffe route and use lotions, or spray on, but only if mom says it's ok.

You are playing with fire on many levels...one what kid doesn't disobey their mom at some point in their life...yet I can honestly tell you your Mom is right on this one and is just trying to protect you (I know you didn;t want to hear that I am sure!) Tanning beds are appealing (especially in winter!) yet they have so many health risks associated with them...pretty dangerous! With all the great over the counter self tanner lotions and sprays available, why not compromise with you mom and try those where you are not harming your body and also creating all kinds of drama with your Mom. Go easy on your Mom...she deserves a lot more respect from you!

Gee, thats a tough one. Since it is more dangerous than smoking, probably what you should do is act up until yur whole family wants you dead. Then they'll hope you get skin cancer FAST, rather than the 20 -30 years it will take most people. On the other hand we do want to reduce the population, so maybe you should ask one of your friends mothers to explain why they are so irresponsible to your mother, maybe she'll knuckle-in and let you harm your skin.

it depends on your age. i was 16 when my mom finally let me go. and yeah blah blah blah they have helth risks involved but doesnt everything. you dont have to be a religious tanner, I went like 3 days in a row just to get a base tan because I was really really pale and tanning beds dont have the efects as direct sun light
(but they can cause fast ageing)stand up beds are better anyways because your not ontop of the UVB rays and you gget an all over tan but going to much people start to notice and you start having an orange complection but just go to get a base tan started and then go natural and get real sun light, its cheeper and alot more effective

how old are you? right now it might not matter to you that you will look like a tired old sea hag by the time you are 25, but it will later, time flys, take care of your skin, If you decide to go anyway please do this, put sun block AND a white towel over your face!!!!!!!!!! there is a way to turn off the lights over your face, do it. I promise you you will regret it when your 30 and the waitress gives you the senior citizen discount because you have so many wrinkles.

Shame on you to cause your mom grief over a tanning bed which is absolutely the pits for your skin . I know several people who have had skin cancer . Believe me it is not funny . And who is going to pay for your dermatologist. You get cancer from those cursed things as sure as rain .You only want to go because your friends are going . Appreciate your loving mom who cares and looks out for you .

well it just depends on your age sweetie. the beds can cause cancer, ( but so can everything else on this earth) I would just ask her and see if its okay with her. I think all of us girls have snuck to a tanning bed at one point or antother. if she absolutely doesnt want you tanning and you want to be tan , ask her about the mist on tan, it doesn't use any rays and its completely safe, its a spray that darkens your skin kind of like make up.

Your mom isn't letting you go for good reasons. Tanning beds are bad for your skin. People who go to them want leather as skin when they get older. Stop disobeying your mother it's a sin. If you ask me you seem a little immature and want to do it just because your friends are doing it.

You already got your answer from your mother! You're NOT going to convince her. You either come clean with her about what you did (disobeyed her) or you continue to sneak and lie to her. Eventually she'll notice that you're getting darker (since it IS winter!). Your mother doesn't make her decisions based on what your friend's parents are letting them do. Thank goodness! You should be ashamed of yourself!
