My family and i are going down there for Spring Break, and my parents really don't care if i get a small tattoo, but before we go, they need to know if i can get one there or not, and i really want to know too, so i don't give my hopes up... so if anyone could get back to me with the correct information (not just a hunk of BS), that would be great, and it would be mucho appreciated!

No matter where you go in New York State you have to be 18 years old to get a tattoo.

not sure what the laws are in new york, but in new jersey you have to be 18 to get one or have a parent sign for you if you're not 18. i dont' think they tattoo under 15 or 16 though even with parental consent. i know a lot of minors that have tattoos, so it can't be illegal for them to get them cause the one i know got one for his 16th birthday from his mom. i'd suggest waiting until you're 18 though, that's what i did and i'm glad i waited cause what i wanted when i was 16 was a LOT different that what i wanted when i finally got mine done, and i love the one i ended up with. so whatever you do, think it through before you get it.

18, although i got mine at 16 because the owner did not care! i wish i would of waited now im stuck with a tinker bell fairy on my back ....the smallest tattoos here go for about 40 - 60 and up they get pricier with size design color..

you have to be 18 or 15 if your parents sign a form so they don't get in trouble, but wait until you are older to get a tattoo maybe you will regraded in some years

I am pretty sure you have to be 18 years old but before you get it...just remeber it is gonna be kind of weird being like an old lady with a tatoo...and they are really..white trash sooo...yeah
