For seed, Rio always goes for the spotted variety. Like sunflower seeds. For nuts, he likes the in shell Walnuts best, and for pellet, (for whatever freakin' reason...LOL) he picks out ALL the green first. Then the purple, and then after that's gone, he'll demolish the red into powder and scoop it out onto the floor of his cage. He's a Military Macaw.

Most bird seeds are not really colorful. Humming birds are more attracted to a red feeder than other colours. I guess your hypothesis could be that birds are attracted to the color red. Put seeds in a red bowl, a green bowl, and a yellow bowl. I'm just trying to figure out what kind of experiment you are doing. It may depend on the type of bird. You might narrow your bird choices down. Good luck on your experiment. Since most birds will eat what the flock leader chooses, you might look into that. Have a tweet day.

This is a good one. I believe the color of bird seed depends upon the bird. Like the shape of the bill. The Macaw Bill is used to crack nuts and things within that nature and the long skinny bills are used to pull things like worms out of the ground.
