I wasn't the most luxurious, or the most expensive, but road tripping in California is unreal. Every three hours it feels like you're in a different biome. There are mountains, forests, beaches, and more. Try a trip from LA to San Fran (spend a couple days in both- they're two different worlds). If you are looking for an inexpensive, yet memorable trip, try Cali!

Ive Been to Mexico and Vegas but The very best vacation Ive been on is Washington DC. The motels are cheap on the beltway(495) you ride the subway downtown and buy a bus ticket for about 12 dollars.you then can get picked up and dropped off all over DC for that one Bus ticket. you can go to the Smithonian institute for free and see every animal, dinasour,,airplane space rocket and even Fonzies jacket and Archie Bunkers chair.you can go to the Senate and see the multi million dollar paintings and watch the Senate in session on the upper tear above them.go get free tickets to the Washington Monument and White House.for the whole trip for a family of three I spent under 200 dollars and had a better time than Vegas!you can see the US Mint, Pentagon...That included gas also for a 12 hour drive there and back!

Europe and the British Isles. No doubt about it changed my life as I knew it to be. Firstly in Europe they do not tear down structures. That is why you still see the Coliseum centuries after it built. You do not need a car in major cities and the sites are nothing found over the pond. I loved Britain for it's energy and Europe for the food and fashion. Go if you can. You can see the Caribbean or Florida anytime. Make the investment it is so worth it. A once in a lifetime vacation.

The best vacation I've been on by far is a trip to Hawaii. Spent 10 days hiking, scuba diving, camping and exploring the island of Kauai in a Jeep. Everyday you are guaranteed to see a rainbow. The people in Hawaii are extremely friendly, and always willing to give advice on local watering holes, surfing conditions, weather, eateries, or fun spots. Highly recommend the trip, but save your pennies, it's expensive.

I spent an amazing month in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. WIthout a doubt it was the highlight of my life. It was totally a life changing experience for me since it was my first major trip outside the US without my family (I'm 20 now).
I miss Rio every day, and I'm working on going back this summer!
