Theistic evolution is hardly a "Christian" idea.

My gods and goddesses tell me that evolution happened just as science says it did. My gnosis is no more or less valid than a Christian's!

Evolution is accepted by God because He designed the process and set it into motion, like all natural processes. And yes, He does want us to view the world and all its natural processes theistically, for the alternative is atheism and therefore untruth.

How would you know? Have you spoken to God recently? Has anyone else?

From my observation, any communication from God is filtered through a dense mass of sociological and psychological structures, and distorted by them. The Biblical texts are perfect examples.

I am not aware of anything that could be constued as evolution in the bible. So it must be a human view, therefore unsupported by god. Which means the bible is fallible.
