"We always have freewill."

Why do people use their freewill to be animals? Maybe we're just products of social interaction.

Man is born with free will and begins to use it almost immediately. Accountability and freewill are not the same thing. Their not even spelled alike. You can have free will like a baby that cries just to get picked up because you have learned from experience that when you cry you get picked up. It's like telling a lie. At first you cried when you were hungry, and someone picked you up. Now you know you are going to get picked up and tended to if you cry whether you are hungry or not so you lie, you cry just because you want to be picked up, BUT YOU ARE NOT ACCOUNTABLE FOR IT BECAUSE YOU DO NOT YET KNOW THAT YOU ARE DELIBERATELY BEING WRONG, nor are you aware of the potential consequences for it. Accountability for free will !!

The age of accountability is the age when we are held to be accountable to the Lord. That is the age when the Holy Spirit begins to "convict" us (to place a burden on the heart, mind, and soul to accept the plan of Salvation) so that we may have eternal life.

That's not lame at all. It's one of the most powerful moments of a Christian's life - if not the most powerful.

We always have free will.
But there is a moment when we begin to exercise it.
Did anyone ever have to teach a child to lie?

For some, the age of accountability is 2 or 3; for others, it may be much older.

To give a false answer in order to avoid consequences is called "lying" regardless of age.

You're born with free will. Even a toddler chooses when to be disobedient to their parents. But I don't believe the Lord holds sin against young children before they have the awareness to choose salvation. Age of accountability is your spiritual adulthood, when you do have the awareness to choose good over evil.

I don't think you understand what the age of accountability is.

Its the time when you understand the difference between right and wrong, not that you suddenly have free will.

We always have free will.

Because humans ARE animals. Some people just can't get past the "me hungry", "me territorial" cave man stage.
