She has the right to protest and say what she wants to... that is what countless soldiers have founght and died for over the history of our country.

What she did in Viet nam was wrong and should have earned her a sentence in Leavenworth.

What she is doing now is trying to get out of the shadows since she really is not relevent and hasn't been for a decades.

You're asking the wrong questions. What you should be asking is, given what we know she did during the Vietnam War, what does it mean that she is protesting Iraq? And, by extention, what does this imply about the other demonstrators.

A genocide happened in Vietnam after we left. Millions of innocent people were murdered by the communists for no other reason than for fun. When it became clear what was happening, none other than John Kerry lead the forces that blocked US intervention in that genocide. Fonda and her lies were a part of the propaganda campaign that made that possible. They all KNEW what was going on and did whatever they could to make sure the US did not put a stop to it.

And now, they are doing it again. Remember that the next time a liberal gives you a plausible excuse for why we should leave Iraq. What they are really after is a genocide there.

Yes, she has the right. That does not MAKE it right though. I can still see her gleefully clapping her hands together sitting on that AA gun in Hanoi. And let's not forget, when American POW's handed her notes, she handed the notes over to the GUARDS!!!! DO PEOPLE REMEMBER THAT??.She should be on her knees thanking God that she is not in prison for her acts of treason. But instead, she is allowed to continue with her Anti-American rant, because that is really what it is. but it will be okay, because she will turn around in a few years and apologize!! She is a complete and utter disgrace as an human being. It is sad to see people defending her actions, freedom of speech or not. How many of us lived through all that hell back then, we don't need a replay. I love how some are saying that it was just the impetousness of her youth and that she was a kid. She was in her 30's!!!!!!! I do not need to forgive her and I will NEVER forget what she did. She's at it AGAIN.

I came home from Southeast Asia in 1974, landed in San Francisco, and was spit upon by some greaser who apparently thought that was a bright idea. We had been warned to fly in civilian clothing, and to absolutely NOT respond to anything but a lethal attack. I'm certain that Hanoi Jane had no small influence on this little strunz. She should have had her passport revoked, and been jailed for aiding and abetting a hostile force. Hardness of heart? I hope the miserable ***** dies alone, from the most humiliating and painful disease imaginable. I'm a Christian. She is the devil incarnate. Forgiveness? No way. Forget it? Absolutely no way. Its been often asked why some Vietnam Vet never blew her away. Its because she isn't worth the price of a bullet. She was then, and is now, the poster girl for spoiled little brats, a true POS.

Many American people fought and died to insure our rights as American Citizens. Have you read the 1st amendment to the Constitution? If you deny it to one of our citizens those rights, you deny it to all of our citizens. Yes she should have learned from her actions in the Viet Nam conflict. If you do not offer a rebutt to her remarks then you truly will be one of the "silent majority" and we all lose! Try and address the issue at hand.
No I don't agree with her now or ever.

Jane Fonda is an American citizen and our brave soldiers are right now fighting and dying for her right to have her opinion in our free society. To try to coerce her, in her constitutional or to condem / restict her in those rights is against everything our young men and women are fighting for is much more UNAMERICAN that her protests. Our constitution protects peaceful protest and the right to have a view other than the one you particulary like or dislike. I fought in 1949 to 1952 Korea for those rights and I will be damned if you or anyone who wants to limit those Americans from speaking their mind will ever be in that position.

So this is the youth of America? A bunch of right-wing free-speech hating morons. What ever happened to the constitution? Any way you can't try any one for treason in America because you have no royal family.

Any way, George Bush took away your right to free speech through the patriot act; you now have free speech 'zones' nowhere near the target to protest over.

Good bye, land of the free.

She is older and wiser and she has enough money of her own now that she can really make a difference. Youth has the luxury of impetuousness and although it was unbelievable it can be excused as youthfully ignorant on her part and she has done a great deal to make up for it.
