Because Dr. Phil was already at the manger, and they decided whomever baby it was; they would still overlook this occurrence and love each other like the crazy Jews they once were.

He was told by Gabriel the angel that Mary was with child and to take her as his wife anyway.
That time wasn't "today's"cynical society- Mary was most likely 13-14 years old, betrothed through an arranged family marriage, and would have been stoned to death for becoming pregnant (by any means) before marriage.
She and Joseph would have been outcasts, shunned by their friends and family for the shame fo her pregnancy. Today's society just calls Jerry and mocks the things they have not researched or that they do not understand.
Sound like someone really close to you ??

1) you know as well as any other rational human being that there were no DNA tests two millenia ago

2) a virginal birth is possible today. it just happened supernaturally back then

3) by jewish law, a man could shoose to stone a woman if he had reason to believe she was an adulteress. but he didn't.

4) why must people post questions like this?

The research of DNA stems from the work of Darwin and Mendal. Most Christians deny the ideas, so why would they then believe the results generated from such research, even if it had been invented two thousand years earlier than it was.

Well, for one, DNA tests didn't exist back then, and for two, an angel came to Joseph and told him, basically, "She didn't cheat on you, and she's not lying to you. That's God's baby. Marry her, and don't make a big deal about any of this. The kid's going to be a big deal without your help."

C'mon now, would you REALLY want to find out that your wife was unfaithful to you with GOD? I mean who can compete with that? Better not to know and always have just a tad of doubt, and the hope that Mary was just a garden variety psychotic who had visions.
