The adult limit for Tylenol is 4000mg per 24 hrs. Any dosages higher than this, especially over prolonged periods of time, can be toxic to the liver and kidneys. A side not for those who think they will attempt suicide using Tylenol... don't! It doesn't kill you, but can damage your liver and kidneys permanently, which leads to very painful and long term serious illness.

If you're an alcoholic, and you also take Tylenol on a regular basis, then the combination can ruin your kidneys and liver. You never want to take too much of any medication, even Tylenol can hurt your liver and kidneys if it's abused.
