you can either strip it or bleach it at home on your own, both processes are kind fo risky. to strip it, buy a haircolor remover, loreal makes a few and you can find then at sally beauty supply. follow the directions to remove the tint in your hair. it will turn orange though. i would not recommend this, because you may need to do the entire process twice in order to go blonde, and this will be very damaging to your hair. however, if yuo do choose to go this route, choose an ashy colored blonde and dye over the orange after the hair color is removed (you should be able to dye it the same day you strip it). then there's bleach. you can buy packets or a tub at sally beauty supply, and you can get powder with a built in toner, which means less orange when you lighten your hair. this is damaging and i don't recommend doing it on your own. if you insist upon doing it at home, have a parent or a friend apply it. again, you can buy everything you need at sally beauty supply. if you don't want to risk messing up your hair, then go to a saon and get it done. it'd probably be easier for you to go to a salon, simply because you want to lighten your hair by so many levels. if you only wanted to lighten it to a medium or light brown, it'd be easier to do it at home, but since you want to go from dark brown to light blonde (dark brown is like a level 2 or 3, and i think that light blonde is 9, that's six or seven levels that you'll have to lift) it will be difficult. good luck!

Stripping your hair of color ruins your hair, so take caution when you do that. You can go to wal-mart and buy a color stripper, or do it professionally at the salon. Especially since you want to go to your blonde hair color again....if you used the stripper you could possibly ruin the color you have in your hair, and the blonde may not be what you want. good luck.

Scissors..............cut as much as you can and then get a highlight to match your natural hair so it can grow it out..... stripping out tint will make you hair very damaged... Color removal is only done successfully by professionals...............and it still damages your hair. If you get it layered all over you can usually cut off a lot of hair with out it showing so much...like a geometric shag ...and then a lot of highlights...................
