Beer is refreshing, hard liquor feels great, but wine is not refreshing, nor does it feel great, nor does it taste good. So why do people pretend as though they love wine? Is it to fit in or a fear of rejection?

Good question! And why do people pretend to like smoking a pipe? It tastes like ***, burns your tongue and mouth, and makes your breath smell like a burnt diaper.

I like some wine, but I don't buy the idea that you have to enjoy all of it. I like some red wines and German whites. Most wines I can do without. I'd just rather have a beer. I just like the taste of some wines, I guess. I don't drink socially, so I feel no pressure to drink or not drink wine.

So because you don't like wine, no one does? It's a multi-billion dollar industry based on nothing more than lies? lol. Boy oh boy, sounds like someone needs to get out a little bit more.

As for your question, people who don't like wine will sometimes have some to fit in. Just like someone who doesn't like beer yet inexplicable ends up at your house will pretend to enjoy Coors Light.

To me, in direct opposition from your faux facts, a good wine is refreshing, feels great, and tastes great. I don't "pretend" to like it at all. I actually do.

I love wine. Italian family, we love our wine, Red or White it don't matter. I don't drink it all the damn time ofcourse, dinner mostly or occasions with friends and family.
Wine goes great with real cuisines.
Beer goes well with BBQ

But however, I will agree some people, probably due to rejection, sip it to socialize at parties

Some people love wine and some people dont. Everyone is different.

Some people like the taste of wine. I like some wines and some I don`t. Just like some people don`t like taste of beer or hard liquor. It just depends on your taste buds to which you prefer.

Lol, some people have different tastes. Some people find the taste of beer repulsive, as well as liquor. I find wine to taste sweet (the good stuff) and enjoy it.

Well, you got to quit hittin' the Boones Farm. Drink some good stuff. Wine is for drinking and eating, not getting drunk or partying with. It tastes good, doesn't bloat you, and goes with good food. I definitely am not pretending. And I only like beer that is fresh and from the tap. That canned nonsense is gross.

Beer is icky! It doesn't even smell good! IIIIISSSSHHHHHHH!!!!!

Hard liquor is just that, hard... it's too much...

But wine is fruity and full bodied or lighter and DELICIOUS! Sparkling wine is even better! Besides, is there anything better than wine and chocolate?!!? No! A nice Merlot, maybe a Cabernet with a piece of dark chocolate is like HEAVEN...

Haha, well I hate both wine and beer. Hard liquor is the only kind I drink because it tastes good. Mmm especially liquers.

I like some wine. I hate liver, I don't question the people who choose to eat it. Accept that people have different tastes, and besides, maybe you never tried good wine - I'd dump out the bad stuff too.

Wine is excellent for the heart and many wines are delicious.
Personally, I find beer to taste disgusting. Sorry! To each his own.
