You are sinners?

-I know I am- and I agree with what Paul says about being the worst of sinners....But I also know that through Jesus Christ, I have been redeemed, washed clean and forgiven- which I do not deserve. And it is only by His grace as Ephesians 2:8 says. I have sinned against God, and I need His forgiveness- and that is only through Jesus Christ, for He died on the cross and rose again so that those who believe would be saved. Even if you think you are the worst of sinners you can be saved through Christ's blood, when you believe what He did and repent of sin, put your trust in Him. Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Matthew 11:28
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
John 11:25
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;

If you read all the epistles of Paul, you will see that as he recognizes his frailty and sinfulness as a human, he describes himself in worse and worse terms.
"Paul, a sinner.." becomes "..sinners, of whom I am chief"
later on in his ministry. He realizes ( as i do) how much He needs the forgiveness of Christ and the guiding hanfd of the Spirit..

It really is an awesome realization. I have NO hope on my own. NONE.

I admit that I am a wicked, stubborn, rebellious sinner. I am not proud of this, it is just the plain and simple truth. I wish I could say that I was perfect in all my deeds, words, and thoughts, but not yet!
Upon reading some of the responses to this question, I am reminded of 1John 1:10, which says that if we say that we have not sinned, we make God a liar. God is the supreme ruler and the final authority of heaven and earth whether people like it or not.
In 1Tim 1:15, Paul says this: "It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all" (NASB)
In Romans 7:24 Paul says "Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from this body of death?" (NASB)
Paul was a sinner, Peter denied Christ three times. No Christian is without sin. Not in this life.
I am totally undeserving of God's grace, and I am amazed at the way that He puts up with me. But that is why I love Him, because He first loved me and continues to love me, even when I turn my back on Him.

I try to live a good moral life. I make mistakes and try to learn from them.

I am a nonbeliever in God, and therefore I also do not believe in sin.

I must be doing something right, since I have never been arrested.

I have done things that I regret, but it is not possible to roll back time and correct past mistakes or wrongdoings. I do things I am not proud of on occasion, but I am not a sinner. Your concept of "sin" dictates that such a stain on my "soul" can be erased, forgiven, and disappear.

That is not the truth.

If your sins are truly gone after repentance, then you should feel no guilt whatsoever, as guilt is just another negative part of your wrongdoing. Why, then, do you still feel bad for something you did or said long ago?

I choose to take responsibility for my own actions and hold onto life's lessons to guide me as I continue through life. I am made of good and bad, dark and light, atruism and cruelty, love and rage. I contain all of these things every day, and it is my choice how to use them. It is a heavy burden at times, and I try to be a good person as much as possible.

Quoting bible scripture only indicates that you cannot think about morality for yourself and must be instructed through interpretation and peer pressure to be moral.

All who are Christians understand that we are sinners. It are those who don't know the Lord who have a hard time admitting that what they do is wrong. They want to judge themselves by mans standards and not Gods.

Everyone is a sinner, but not everyone will admit it. I agree with you. As a Christian, I can say what a wonderful question.

It is impossible for me to sin because sin does not exist. It is a man made construct that changes every 50 years or so.

Is sin breaking the law, or just not doing what you are told by people who want to keep you in chains?
