to make people do what you want them to....

- Pay for the person to make the jeans you wear, they might not otherwise do so

- Pay a person to make you dinner, they probably wouldn't otherwise do so

well it certainly didn't start out that way, goods and services were bartered or exchanged for something of equal value. however bartering to some didn't seem fair so a value was put to gold coins, etc.... enabling people to avoid the inefficiency of the barter system

we have to pay for everything, because a value has been put on everything and someone must compensate or equal this scale. so we pay.

Because a truck and bag of peanuts just ain't worth the same bartering price! I see your point and all... but cash is necessary. You can make your OWN money in the United States... not federal money, but you can make your own money.

Because there would be to high of a demand for everything if we didnt. We would run out of everything.
