and we have been chatting for a couple of months now .but now he wants me to visit him in London (i live hundreds of miles away )
the thing is ,he says i can only stay for 12 hours and then he will take me back to Kings Cross and put me on a train home
i asked him why i can`t stay longer but he says my kids will miss me
is he being a Gentleman or does this sound a bit dodgy ?

If you are wise, you will pass on this one. (Not do it.) I see no reason why you cannot continue to be friendly, but it will probably change the kind of friendship you have with him from now on. It would be good for him to be a little more clear with you. If this whole thing sort of hangs over the two of you, I would politely disengage from the whole thing, including your friendship with him.

Sounds a bit dodgy to me. It seems as if he only has 12 hours available to see you and then you need to be gone so he won't get caught by his girlfriend or wife. He's using your kids as an excuse.

You're a grown up. So if you have children and have made arrangements for childcare, he has no reason to treat you like an irresponsible mother and worst like a retarded girl.
If you travel that far to see him, he could either suggest that you stay at his place or find you a hotel.
Make sure he doesn't treat you like a kid. Sounds like he wants to have his OWN way with things.

Sounds really dodgy to me. A real gent would visit you so that you don't have to travel hundreds ofmiles away from your kids. Unless he is married and has something to hide. Be wary honey and whatever you do, don't travel all that way to meet a guy who has a strict timetable to adhere to.

Sounds like he has a wife waiting. Either that or he's a bit weird. Who says you can only stay for 12 hours? You can book a hotel and stay as long as you like. Maybe he's a control freak?
