See if this is different in your view presently; Christians as a majority (in the USA) have not passed the multiple tests 'we' Christians are given. That is part of why there is division in (USA) Christianity. (Baptists, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, etc). Therefore in effect, we are offending people such as atheists, and agnostics.

I don't often see atheists speak badly about us Buddhists. Generally we Buddhists don't badmouth others, except maybe to call someone on their arrogance or ignorance (which makes them mad because you challenged their ego)... and heck this is a public forum, people are gonna do what they're gonna do. You can't let it all get you all riled up. Relax, breathe.

The bashing that goes on on this site is pretty ridiculous. Most questions on the religion&spirituality category seem posted not out of genuine curiosity or interest, but in the intent to insult others or provoke an argument. It's quite rude.

I have learned a lot by people criticizing me on this chat group.

For example: I have learned that some Muslims are still mad at us Christians because our Christian forefathers killed a multitude of Muslims during the "Crusades" about a 1000 years ago.

Just remember, when a person berates you, he has allowed you to understand his deepest thoughts and worries; thoughts that he might not share in a one-on-one personal relationship.

Atheists are NOT disrespectful to Buddhists, in fact, I admire them.

They work hard not to 'Excite" their senses, and have great discipline. Good for them, (BTW they don't believe in a god)... they believe in Buddha's, or Siddhartha Gautama's teachings.

You seem to be under the impression there's a religion called 'evolutionism'. Are you a christian, by any chance? Because, you know, they're most likely to reject science.

Sorry, but its hard to respect other people's beliefs when they regularly speak of their invisible friend (J.C.) and when they consider a work of fiction to be true. They are just asking to be made fun of!

Because other people's beliefs can restrict my freedom or even get me killed. Those who believe are the most dangerous people on earth.

I'll stop when the Christians stop passing laws based on their theology, not facts. Like preventing women from getting necessary health care, preventing science from being taught in schools, preventing scientists from speaking out on the issues they study, and making it so non-religious people can't run for office (in many states, including my own).
