You were not there to hear God's word? Most extra-scriptual evidence shows the bible to be written by men, who by definition are imperfect. Then, take into account that the Bible has been translated and retranslated and transcribed and retranscribed hundreds of thousands of times. The oldest copy of the Bible dates from 1000 AD.

You can believe whatever the hell you want, but whay would you ask us non-Bible belivers to accept the text as 'fact'?

The word 'homosexual' appear in some versions of bible texts. The term does not apper in King James. There was no word for homosexual in the time the bible was written. How is this not man interperting the bible? It seems God's word conviniently changes as the time changes.

Melissa said: "the Bible was written by man who heard, spoke, and had a relationship with God."

What man? Why should he be believed? Anyone can say 'God told me x,y,z".

66% of Earth's population rejects the Book of Timothy, as it is in the New Testament. Only 33% of Earth's population *claim* to be Christian.

Right on brother. I think they believe they will go to hell if they express any doubt. I don't believe much of anything that requires you to "Just Have Faith". When you believe in words that have been translated numerous times by who knows how many people then you are taking the easy way out. It takes much more courage to question a Priest,Preacher,Amman or whoever than to just take what they say on blind faith. Why are they afraid to have an intelligent discussion instead of telling you that you must just believe when they can offer no evidence they are right? To answer your question, you should not believe them if they don't offer any explanation.

And yet you do not realize the word of God does not change, for it lives and stands forever. God does not change. And the word of God, His written word, the Bible does have many translations but they all have the SAME MEANING. Some are just easier to understand than others. And the men who wrote the Bible were being led by the Holy Spirit, not to mention that about 40 of the prophets were told the same thing, and none of them knew eachother---now that just goes to show the word of God is indeed the truth! God spoke to each one- and they did not get together and write the Bible together....they were led by the Holy Spirit when writing the scriptures- and now we have it, the Holy Bible- God's word written for our understanding.

1 Timothy 3:16 says that all scripture is inspired of God for teaching, reproving and for setting things straight.
This is especially so in view of the fact that the books for the bible were recorded by some 40 men as diverse as king, prophet, herdsman, tax collector, and physician. They did the writing over a period of 1,610 years; so there was on opportunity for collusion. Yet their writings agree, even in the smallest detail. To appreciate the extent to which the various portions of the Bible are harmoniously intertwined, you must read and and study it personally.

Yes the Bible was written by man who heard, spoke, and had a relationship with God. Some of the chapter were even written by people who were Christ disciples. Again, I going to say that most of the places in the bible still exist today, unlike the theory of evolution.

Ever heard of the Dead Sea Scrolls? Some of the oldest known shards of Scripture and studies have shown them to be 99.6% accurate to the KJ version! The few differences have come from translation!

I have faith, that God has preserved His Word, and what I hold in my hands is perfect in instruction.
