I share your concerns. Here in England I know of Catholics who were advised to quit evening class Yoga lessons, as it has associations with Paganism, and opens the door for non-Christian thought. Not views that I agree with, but always remember the Catholic church wants EVERYONE to join their club. Do you imagine they are in India because they like curry ? Anything that encourages individual development, outside of Christianity is opposed by Catholicism.

He is against Hindu fascism in India which seeks to force all non-Hindus to follow Hindu practices- and example of this is forcing other religions to sing "Vande Mataram" a song praising hindu deities - which goes completely against Muslim, Christian and Sikh beliefs

If Hindus in Muslim lands were forced to repeat the islamic declaration of faith Hindus would scream about this human rights violation- yet even the Taliban didnt make Hindus do this - but Hindus in India DO make non-Hindus read their religious songs

BTW being against Hindus isnt being against india anymore than being against say Christians is being against Americans- India is a secular state and Indians are of many different religions

The Catholic Church has this kind of mentality writ large. Ever since it was formed in the late second century BCE it has rapidly taken over power, rewritten its history, and murdered whoever stood in its way. The same goes for the Orthodox and Eastern Churchs. Christ said not to hit your brother, and whoever wasn't against him, was for him. All ancient Christian groups tell legends about their Bishops inciting riots in cities over doctrinal issues in order to kill the heretics.
