it taste kinda salt and gritty in texture but it is not bad and i has many uses. it is all natural and you do not have to worry about it damaging your teeth. some whiteners can be quicker but stronger and more damaging to teeth, the baking soda and peroxide will take longer though then commercial whiteners.

It's not bad, but you wouldn't want to use a lot. Also take care to limit how much you use, because the body needs to keep a balanced PH. Baking soda is a "base" which neutralizes acids. PH is a balance of bases and acids.
By the way, you will NOT notice whitening right away.
AND many toothpastes come with baking soda already in it. You might try those.

Baking soda doesn't do anything besides wear down your enamel, and that's definitely not a good thing. I would highly recommend that you use Crest 3D whitening tooth paste and mouthwash, not only does it whiten your teeth but keeps your breath fresh all day.

I have used baking soda once a month since I was a little girl and that has been MANY years now. My dentist says I have great hygiene and to keep up my routine. I drink alot of coffee, used to smoke and the baking soda has kept my teeth white without any harm to them at all.

You can try it if just for the taste, but I wouldn't recommend brushing with it more than a few times. It is highly abrasive and well know to cause damage to the enamel and surrounding tissue when used for prolonged periods of time. Play it safe and ask your dentist what he recommends to whiten with. There are several good whitening techniques available through your dentist and he can guide you for over the counter products. Good luck!

have you ever tried baking soda? try it, then you'll know exactly what it tastes like, salty, grainy... it won't work if you just do it once though.
