More religious, I think - thats past adulthood, I mean say 60+, its accompanied by degeneration of other organs though, its not just the brain. I think its also a factor that they think more about death and they may abandon logic and reason for the fairytale myth of the big rock candy mountain, so they can pretend death is not really the end.

Not everyone betrays their intellect just because they're becoming decrepid. Darwin never recanted on his death bed and I sure won't. I hope if someone comes to read me my last rites while I'm on my death bed I still have the strength to throw something at them.

I have always been an Atheist, but I have grown more against religious through the years.. so I say less religious as you get older.

The Bible calls it being stiff-necked, and gives a reason:

Jer 17:23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.

Don't know many older people willing to receive or even hear instruction.

More. They are no longer caught up in the swing of life, and have time to focus on their lives and religion, so their minds aren't as cluttered with peer pressure and media

My atheism just stays and stays....

the older I get... I still feel just fine about it. (and I'm getting pretty old!)
