in a tournament, they would post whatever money they have and be "all in" and a sidepot would occur. They can only win as much money as they have from each person

Example:
Blinds are 100/200. Big Blind only has 150 though
3 people call the 200 and the small blind calls as well

There is 950 in the pot and 5 players, but the big blind can only win 750 (150*5). Any further bets in the hand cannot be won by the big blind either

In a cash game, you cannot play unless you can post your blind

In tournament play, they'd be all in when the blind got to them. Hopefully you never get down this low, and if you do you're pushing when you see a face card.

a chip and a chair. if you got one chip that is all you can win...so if there are five people in the hand you can win 4 chips...turn 4 into forty and your right back in the mix. in a cash game before the hand is dealt you reach in your pocket and put it on the table
