No I take consolation in the fact that if God were to take all us believers into Heaven on Sunday on Monday atheists would kill themselves from sheer boredom.

My view on Christianity is I'm not convinced that the Christian God or any other god exists. Regarding the Bible it fails. As a historical account, it fails because it makes claims that are not supported by any credible outside sources. As a scientific account, it utterly fails. As a moral guide it is atrocious and not only condones, but promotes genocide and infanticide, among other things. Sorry, but you don't have the luxury of saying the entity called God in the Bible is loving. This is a character that saw fit to wipe out all of humanity to repair a mistake he made in his creation of them. Keep in mind that in the story of Noah, that 2 of each animal and Noah's family were spared, but every single child that had not harmed a single person in ANY way were sentenced to death. I ask you, is that an act from any kind of loving being? Answer that, yes or no. Now, nevermind that this story is a complete myth and spun from earlier flood stories. The mere fact that anyone would dare call that thing loving and say it is worthy of worship? Sorry, but no thank you. You might argue that this is Old Testament stuff, that this was all changed with humble Jesus. Really, was it? In the Old Testament God was done with you upon death. In the New Testament a more sinister punishment was devised. Because then, by not accepting this cruel being and worshiping it completely, you would face an eternity of torture. Bad things happen because there's nothing good watching over you to intervene. Praying to an imaginary friend is something some people do to try to feel better. Go on, put yourself in a God's shoes. You are able to create existence itself in 6 days (why would you need that long anyway?). You can do anything and love your creation. Are you honestly saying that as a god it is somehow better to let a child be hit by a drunk driver and have that child's parents pray to you for comfort?

Aw, you're right. We really shouldn't reply. But sometimes the unique brand of insanity that runs in the Trolls' Camp - (*any* kind of troll) - is awfully amusing to see.
And then there are those who *really* do need our prayers. I mean, what can you possibly do with someone who enters a thread directed to "Fellow Christians" asking for prayers and then gives a thumbs-down to the people who offer those prayers? Or makes a rude post even? What can you possibly do but pray he someday gains at least a small modicum of maturity and learns to not do something so awful. Those types are the folks that really need help.

I actually find some of the behaviour displayed as a confirmation. If they are as insincere in how they arrived at their own world view then it makes sense. There are some reasonable ones in here. But I appreciate you sentiment. But what is kind of laughable is the bad behaviour isn't a very good sales job and kind of causes me to wonder how old are these people? Again I have met some reasonable ones. Finally it encourages me to know that there doesn't seem to be much behind the bravado. Like the saying goes "if the chicken squacks the loudest it's gonna lay a big egg".

It's to be expected as Jesus said 'The world will hate you as it did me, remember, I told you these things will happen'. I kinda have to think would I want to trade places and be able to pick on a group looking down on those telling them they are wrong or would I rather take the scorn & pray for them.

You answer your own question, if you look at your question where it says, lets us make peace here. So why be fed up with them. Just do not answer their question or if you do, do not let it bother you if they give you a response back. Who cares what they say, just pray for them.
What we need to do is just let everyone do as they please, as long as it doesn't hurt us. Words do not hurt, they might make you feel bad or angered, but if you are a true Christian, what are you suppose to do? FORGIVE.

No one can condem anyone to hell but God himself. So if someone is doing that, then they need to stop and rethink their approach to talking to you about God. The world has a twisted view of the Bible and God. A lot of "Christains" are to blame for this also. There are a lot of so called christains that take things out of context from the Bible and throw it in people's face. You can't make or force someone to believe and accept God. As Christains I think we get frustrated and try too hard, or come accross and the judge. Its horrible. Add the fact that Satan's impact on society is strong (for now). Speek of anyting to do with God or the Bible to someone and see if they don't act defensively at first. Its because theres a spiritual battle going on for that person. Speek to them about any other religion and see if you get the same reaction...you won't. Because satan wants you to believe in anything BUT God. Satan knows his future, and he wants to take as many people as he can with him. When satan fell from heaven he took 1/3 of the angels with him...thats a lot of help he has to fight the spiritual battle for our souls. Also being a Christain shouldn't be looked at being religious. Its a RELATIONSHIP with our father; God. Before you talk to someone about God you need to stay calm and keep in mind God's love and wonderful forgiveness. Don't rush to tell someone they're going to hell if they don't believe, because all they hear is that they're going to hell and they just shut you out. Please pray everyday that, if the opportunity presents itself, God helps you accuratley and efficiently tell someone about Jesus, leaving them with a positive and true perspective on God. We are just helping our brother and sisters to find their way home to our father. Be loving and patient. God tells us in the Bible that it won't be easy for us as Christains, but with him anything is possible...have faith =)

I'll stop responding to people who tell me I'm going to a fictional place.... hell i think it's called...
"We don't bash them" please. I'm harassed by Christians on my campus every day. Throw them in a loony house with the rest of the people who blindly believe in ridiculous notions of a alien super being.

Unless Christ opens their heart and they turn from their unbelief and sin, then their hearts will remain darkened to the truth. However, if they wish to believe there is no God, then let them be. We have to keep in mind that God is the judge. I do hope that they turn from their unbelief and that their hearts will be open to the truth, but we can't force it on them either. That is what Christ meant when He said not to cast the pearls before the swine. If they don't want to hear any witnessing or mention of God's word, then let them be. We can't force our beliefs down their throats - not right.
Don't let their insults, slurs and foul talk and name-calling get you down. If they want to stoop to that low of a level, then let them. We as Christians face many trials and tribulations in life and also keep in mind that Christ said we'd be persecuted for His names' sake.
Luke 21:17,18 - Andd ye shall be hated of all men fo rmy name's sake. 18 - But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
John 3:20 - For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Luke 6:22 - Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
2 Corinthians 4:3, 4 - But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 - In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

I agree with you whole heartedly, but if we say anything or give them an answer they don't like, you are reported. I just wish there was another site we Christians could air our views on.
