A long time ago I used to have these purple potato type things on the menu but I cant remember the name can anyone help me?

There are several varieties of purple potatoes. Ronnigers Potato Farm has both purple-skinned and all-purple (some are called Blue) varieties.

They are simply Purple potatoes or if the restaurant is french perhaps it was Pommes Violette. They are similar to Golden potatoes and very creamy lending themselves well to potato salads and luxury side dishes. Just ask your green Grocer I am sure they can order these for you easily. Good Luck!

one name is taro ( i think there may be another) but the taro is popular in Hawaii, and make a great chip
