It can be achieved most easily by teasing...but it's really ugly. I wouldn't bother.

If your talking about the puff at the top u can do it by making a simple pony tail on just the top of your head n use a thin elastic,hold the bottom part like underneath of the pony n hold it with 2 fingers and push up or more forward n the use some spray and a comb to make it look neat n then finish with a nice barrette or clip to cover the elastic.u could always tease it first and then comb just the top layer so u can't see where u have teased it n finish the same way i said.Good luck n hope it looks good.

I wear it and I love it b/c it keeps the hair out of my face without all of it being pulled up or looking too childish.
You could just us a flat metal clip and pull the front back then push it up a little to give you the bump. Keep it in place by putting in bobby pins behind ur hair clip to prevent it from sliding back.
Other people use a hair roller and sleep in it. You just use one and roll the top part (where ur bangs would be) back and then when you wake up just put in a long flat metal clip to hold it back and it will create the bump by itself.
Teasing also works but it looks frizzy.

You just take a portion of hair above your forehead (it can be as large or small as you want, depending on how big you want the poof). Pull this hair back and twist it slightly, then push the twisted part foreward and pin it with a bobby-pin or hair clip. I hope that's clear. I'm not quite sure how to explain it better.

u mean on the top of the head, usually in a ponytail??? pin the hair with bobby pins to hold the bump in place.

The only thing i can think of, would be to part a section in the front, and put it over a roller...and pull it back into a ponytail.

i wouldnt do it, but you kind of lift up the section you want "poofed" lol and tease the back of that section and then like smooth it back
