I have been told that I have reflux. When I drink I feel the liquid coming back up. Now I have noticed that when I eat I have 2 swallow twice. Everyday I feel as if there is a lump in my throat. Has anyone had this happen?

Occasionally I'll get a lump in my throat but usually when I watch a romantic movie. If you're taking too big a bites and not chewing thoroughly enough, you'll feel a lump. So you're swallowing twice to get it down. Eat slow, chew well and take smaller bites. Also, sip liquids while you eat. As far as reflux, are you on anything for it? Zantac and Prilosec are great for controlling acid and to stop it from coming up!

My mother has an enlarged thyroid - this has caused difficulty with swallowing and getting choked. You need to see a doctor, and if he isn't helping you - don't be afraid to ask for a referral to see a Gastroenterologist.

Best wishes!
