Taking my little one for 2 Injections. Hpw can i keep her calm ?

She'll sit on my lap - so how can i keep her still ?

first of all children feed off of their parent's anxiety. if you are calm and don't think she'll freak out then she'll be fine. don't baby her and let her ham it up. just let her get the shot. she'll cry. hug her and it'll be over. parents who reassure their children and coo them too much end up making it worse. just act like it isn't a big deal and she'll be fine. i hate shots!!

Keep her distracted. My friend said they took her son to the doctor and the Doctor had this muppet like character which kept their son occupied while they got the syringe ready / injected it.

Trust me. You can't. lol. There smarter than we think they are. Just make her comfortable, and keep talking to her. Afterwards she will be okay.
