Christians believe that if you do not believe in their god, whose name is coincidentially "God" then you will go to hell when you die.

So... Christians, is Ghandi in hell? He didn't believe in the god named God. The guy should be a saint.

Of course not. He was a great man. Great man are by the deeds they do, not just the words they speak. and he did both, outstandingly.

sry im not christian but i still think i can answer your queston. well no ghandi is not goin to hell cuz tht would mean everyone who is not christain will go to hell if there is really hell. people believe there is a hell because people want an answer to everything so they make an answer for when they die, if they do something bad they go to hell and if they do something good they go to heaven. this made life much nicer to live and also harder at the same time. really every religion is all the same but put in differant description or perspective.

No one is in Hell. Hell is the purifying fire that cleans the earth of sin (and sinners) so the Almighty can make it over new and "very good". I am sure that the Almighty appeared to Ghandi at some point in his life, and he( Ghandi) either accepted or rejected the offer of salvation. I am not sure which he did, but I am sure that when the Almighty explains it I will be very satisfied with the explanation as to why he is in Heaven (or not.)

I cannot get over the bigotry and hate in so called Christians. Jesus was not G-d, to begin with. He was a man who is now dead. There is no G-d but G-d, and Jesus is not G-d.

My religion teaches that all the good of the earth will go to heaven-no matter their religion--or lack of. This includes Ghandi, and all the good of the earth......or, reincarnation, or whatever their religion may call for.

Thank goodness I left Christianity half a life time ago. My new religion has much more respect and love for people.

it is no longer about being a "Christian" - because it is understood to be a faith. Ghandi spoke Fondly of Christianity, yet i am going to of Christians. He did listen the Gospel. regrettably, in view that Jesus Christ is the only thanks to the daddy, it is in all probability that Ghandi, like any such number of immediately, enable some hypocrites get between him and heaven.

If he didn't believe in God or accept him as God then he's not in heaven...that was his decision. God gave everyone the free will to choose to accept him or not. We will all be judged for our actions in life, but to have eternal life with the Lord just takes accepting him into your heart. He could have been a "saint", but if he didn't accept God into his heart then...No one can judge another on where he goes after death but God himself. So, we'll find out everything we want to know one day. God spelled it out pretty simply in the Bible on how to get to heaven though. He says the only way is through him...

There are a lot of people who spent their entire life doing very good things for others and they are going to hell because they don't believe. You can not earn your way into heaven with good deeds.

good works will not get anyone into Heaven.....
no matter how good the works are.
That goes for the greatest and the least among us.
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

no, even Gentiles get to go to heaven. This is after the resurrection though, because the dead aint going anywhere. Ghandi is dust now and when he resurrects, he won't be aware of all the time that has pasted since his death.

Ok: There is a big pink balloon in the sky, and you can only get in there if you're a Christian.
Now, nobody's ever seen that big pink balloon, but it's been preached for 2,000 years, and people believe in it. Moreover, those who don't are judged and have been killed for their refusal to believe in a fictional big pink balloon.
Seems to me that Mr. Ghandi didn't believe in that balloon. Do you think he's in there?
Duh!
