I want HIGHLIGHTS?????HELP PLEASE???

Question

I am 16 f and i want high lights. I have Medium brown hair like this:

Or a little lighter maybe. I want to get highlights. I have an appointment for tomorrow and i was going to get their opinion but i would like to get your opinions to. I do have kind of pale skin. I have never died my hair before either. I was thinking about a type of blonde or maybe caramel highlights... What do you guys think??

hi im 17 and i have medimu brown hair too. my hair is also highlighted and i LOVE it! what i told my hairdresser is to do skinny caramel blondie highlights all over the top and bottom of my head. she did it and its gorgeous! you should totally do it cuz your gonna love it too!

Well someone I know has gotten blondish highlights, and it makes them look really trashy so don't go with blonde highlights. I think natural brown hair looks pretty the way it is.

Hey. The trend I see these days is that girls want to look as natual as possible. If you hair is a lighter brown color, you can go with a honey or dark blonde color. Tel your colorist to use hair dye, not bleach!!! I have used bleach to highlight my hair and it is horrible on your hair!!! Also, tell your sylist to use thin highlights. Thick ones look unnatural. The more small one you havem the more difference you will see in your hair. Good luck!!!

Yea! go with the blond highlights, Believe me I've done it. with ash hair and brown hair. They'll come out more and the brown will define the highlights, and they'll even look better if you already wear makeup. I can see it know. Good luck. Go to thehairstyler.com. I have med brown hair and I used to blonde highlights which looked pretty good but then I stopped b/c I got natural ones from playing tennis but now I have a reddish brownhighlight which I get comments on all the time and I love them! so for your hair color first ask the sytlist but I think blonde or even reddish brown looks good (reddish brown is more subtle)... well good luck!

depends on your taste. I would look through some magazines tonight and see if you see anything that you like, if you do, bring in a picture tomorrow.

I have dark brown hair. In the winter I have blonde highlights, to ligthen my hair because I have pale skin and the dark brown makes it look even paler. In the summer when I have a tan, I like the dark look with carmel highlights.

I think that if you haven't gotten highlights before that u should just get a color a few shades lighter than you hair to start with and see how you like it.

Get like a light pink or carmel highlights, or highlights a little lighter then your hair, but dont get blond, that would be way to light and it wouldnt go right with your hair color.

mix in a few pretty honey highlights with some medium blond ones. streak them around your head with some short spaces in between. the blond highlights shouldn't be platinum. get them done at nirvana salon, blaze salon, or splash salon. those are top rated salons, and they are great for cuts and highlighting. :)

I think a golden blonde would be cute. that was the color of my first highlights and my hair was the same color. they turned out great!!!!
