There is also a book called a "concordance" which lists every word in the Bible and the Bible verse in which that word appears. After reading all the verses containing that particular word, one will understand how God uses that word in the Bible. In fact, today there are electronic computer) concordances that will make this task so much easier!

Online you can look up words, phrases or verses at Bible Gateway http://www.biblegateway.com/ http://www.eliyah.com/lexicon.html for the Strong's, http://www.blueletterbible.org/ for the Blue letter Bible or http://bible.crosswalk.com/Concordances/ for Cross Walk. All online all easy to use and all free.

I read the Bible all the way through four times, and found more problems and contradictions than "answers." This is a big reason why I'm no longer a Christian.

I am grateful for the Bible because it led me to the most important spiritual decision I have ever made - the decision to reject Christianity entirely, and listen to the words of deity in my own heart. You should try that sometime.

No, latter rain, no one has ever thought of looking in the bible for answers to religions questions. Are you freaking serious? Christianity is the single most popular religion on the planet. Where do you THINK all those people are looking for answers to their religious questions? TV guide?

First, "spiritual" is pretty much a non-word. It's fairly meaningless. Secondly, the Bible isn't much of a guide. It has some really nasty stuff and bad advice with scant wisdom.
