Yes and even though we are not under obligations to follow the 10 Commandments like you quoted here we are under the obligation to follow the principles of the law.

I never said the Bible was BAD. It's not bad in and of itself. So, let me tell you, you can not have your cake and eat it too. Other religions which are wrong have came up with the same conclusions. The ten commandments and tenents of Buddhims are almost identical. Maybe, just maybe there is a universiality to the way humans think, not god.

Eh, there are some good things in the Bible. Mostly the teachings of Jesus.
But surely you cannot be advocating following every letter of the Bible?
Would you sell your daughter into slavery? Smash the heads of your enemy's infants on a rock? Stone your neighbors to death?
You have to take out the good and let the rest die a natural death.

I don't believe the Bible is "bad and wrong" any more than the Illiad or Moby Dick are. (Well, Moby Dick is pretty bad, but you get the point.)
If I wrote a book telling you to worship demons and then also put the 10 Commandments in, would that then make the book good and valid?

It is amazing how Atheists respond to this question when in fact at the time of Moses and then Christ, America was inhabited by pagan Indians and England was a primitive and backward race.

Lol, you mean law is created by religion? Get over it, the so-called "religious laws" do more harm than good. Law and 10 Commandments are two different topics.
Without religions, people could still be law-abiding. Look at Buddhism, man

These rules did not come from the bible and god. They were in place long before there was a bible, and long before man created god.

The problem with PC (anything goes) tolerance they are hatefully intolerant to anyone they disagree with. They set rules (supposedly they hate rules that hinder) and agendas to stop the ones they hate. They call the ones they hate:intolerant, hateful, fanatical, rude, not willing to accept those who are different (don't they discribe themselves?).If they are totally tolerant they should tolerate even those thet hate and disagree with.

Even as a Christian I can see the silliness of this question. Even most people who would admit to hating God would agree with those generalities dealing with the way we relate to people.

I'm pretty sure human civilization would've figured out that killing and stealing are wrong even if we never had the Bible... come on.
