I like a lot of the Carpenters' songs, so my pick would be song titled "For All We Know":

Love, look at the two of us
Strangers in many ways
We’ve got a lifetime to share
So much to say and as we go on from day to day
I’ll feel you close to me
But time alone will tell
Let’s take a lifetime to say
I knew you well
For only time will tell us so
And love may grow for all we know

Love, look at the two of us
Strangers in many ways
Let’s take a lifetime to say
I know you well
But only time will tell us so
And love may grow for all we know

Used to the 'Long Haul' met, one night... i sailed away....8 months, 3 days in port, 4th day could not get out...so got engaged,...sailed. 16 months later, 5 days together... got married. Still going well...37 yrs.. Oh, the song...edelweiss...check the words....

Edelweiss, Edelweiss
Every morning you greet me
Small and white, clean and bright
You look happy to meet me

Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever

Edelweiss, Edelweiss
Bless my homeland forever

Sound of Music....
So good for a long, slow smooch.....
Before International direct dial, Email, Messenger etc (the dark ages)

I think this song is great. Its upbeat and cute. It pretty much says love isn't perfect, relationships are hard but I don't care because it is all worth it. We have come so far and I don't want to go back (I have cut out some chores etc because it just repeats)

(Happy to be) Stuck with you - Huey Lewis and the News

We've had some fun, and yes we've had our ups and downs
Been down that rocky road, but here we are, still around
We thought about someone else, but neither one took the bait
We thought about breaking up, but now we know its much too late

We are bound by all the rest
Like the same phone number
All the same friends
And the same address

Yes, its true, (yes its true) I am happy to be stuck with you
Yes, its true, (yes its true) I'm so happy to be stuck with you
cause I can see, (I can see) that you re happy to be stuck with me

We've had our doubts, we never took them seriously
And we've had our ins and outs, but that's the way its supposed to be
We thought about giving up, but we could never stay away
Thought about breaking up, but now we know its much too late
And its no great mystery
If we change our minds
Eventually, its back to you and me
