Give her some Tylenol or Motrin for the pain. Call her ped's office. They should have someone who can answer your questions. If it's simply too much pain for her, take her to the ER.

The pain of ear infections is caused by the pressure of the fluid building up in the ear canal. Try to keep your child sitting up as much as possible, even when sleeping. Prop the pillow so that they are sleeping in a mostly sitting position. Warmth also helps ease some of the pain associated with ear infections. If you have a heating pad, wrap it in a towel and allow your child to lay (slightly propped) on the side that hurts with her ear on the heating pad. The warmth of the heating pad will warm the fluid trapped in the ear and cause it to leak out, releasing some of the pressure. Do not stick anything into the ear canal, including Q-tips to clean it out, you can inadvertently push the fluid further in. You can also check at Walgreens or other pharmacy and see if they have an over the counter ear drop to help ease the pain.

Any good doctors office will have an on call phsyician. Sounds to me like an ear infection. If there is no-one on call get her to the hospital. She should not have been in pain for the whole day. Shame.

If she is crying that much, take her to the childrens hospital. She probably has an eari infection. They will give her antibiotics and drops for her ears. Don't wait...the more fluid that builds up, the more chance for her eardrums to rupture. I found that out last Saturday.
Best of luck and hope she gets feeling better really soon!

go to er , they will give antibiotic, which you want to get started asap, they will also give something for pain, also get some children's Motrin best for ear aches, sadly though there is not much you can do but love on her, it will take about 3 days for antibiotic to kick in, good luck it's such a difficult thing cause you want to take the pain away and stop the crying but ear and teeth aches are rough

Give her Tylenol or Motrin, and place moist heat (a warm washcloth or similar) on her ear. Call your doctors office, even thought they are closed, they should have a number for your doctors exchange line (most doctors have one). Your doctor will tell you if you need to go to the ER

If you can, try laying her down with her ear on a warm wash cloth or heating pad on low. It may help. Do not put anything in it. And try giving her some tylenol childrens for the pain.

ok first try to clean it out. if it is an inner ear infection don't bother you won't be able to clean it out. instead take her to hospital now and get treated because it can turn into a worse infection where it can cause a high fever if you wait and then you will have to worry about seizures.

Give her Tylenol and take her to the ER. If she is crying that long and that badly there is something wrong and she needs to be checked out.
