I was told by the lady who has styled my hair for YEARS almost anyone can pull off having auburn hair so I don't think your skin color matters. I was born blonde with green eyes, I dyed my hair auburn and got MANY compliments on it. My sister was born with brown hair, medium skin tone, and brown eyes dyed hers and got the same reaction from people. Its not like your going Black not many people can pull of black hair unless they are Asian or born with it

red-auburn like a warm brown? brownish skin tones, reddish tones. if i is red like a cold red with blue/purple undertones, then more pale skin tones look better

Either nice tanned olive color skin or white skin.
