Because, like any other Pagans, Christians believe in the unseen powers of deities and "principalities of the air" and nature and stuff.
And don't pretend like you're not Pagan! Hypocrites! Christians are Pagans, they just don't want to admit it.

Wanting to be an educated Christian, I've found through study that magic was a fundamental ancient near eastern belief. The various authors of that ----- often explicilty discussed magic such as Elijah's belomancy, Joseph's divination cup, the Urim and Thummim, the 11 Apostles casting lots to find a replacement for Judas, etc. And not to mention the wizarding competitions between Moses and the Pharaoh's priests, but magic was an ingrained aspect of Biblical times. This might constrain the supposed "Bible-believer" but most of what they say has never been a part of the historic Judaeo-Christian millieu. I've found that perhaps of all the groups that are closest to what the Biblical characters believed and acted would probably be Mormons, with visions of God, mysterious translation, etc. The website below has lots of sources to go to in order to explore this amazing topic further. Christianity's not in a time bubble, anyone who believes that has deluded themselves. I believe in magic, because I believe in the God of the -----, and the practices of the ancient near east help us have a better understanding of the text rather than taking philosophies developed in Reformed Germany and England and trying to support them out of the text.

If you want an answer from Christians you need to live with an answers that involves God, Jesus and the Bible, because this is what Christianity is about. Of course I believe in magic, there's a devil, too and he tries to copy God. But God is stronger. Why? because Moses' snake ate the snakes of the Pharaoh's magicians.

Wow, that was pretty funny. Funny how they don't believe in magic, although if someone BESIDES Jesus healed the sick without medicine, walked on water, produced a lot of food out of nowhere, and came back to life, that would be considered magic. But not when god does it!

Christians believe in magic because everyone likes the Lovin' Spoonful. I think you might benefit from learning to read. Pick up a Bible, do some research and come up with your own opinion. The problem with America today is that too many spoiled kids with computers learn how to think from their dumb commie friends. Anyway, no offense but you should stop drinking the Kool-Aid. And don't be scared of Christians.

Labeling "magic" to Christianity is insulting at best, but I suppose that's what you were going for. I suppose you’re trying to restrict miracles and divine interventions to common since and only what man can comprehend. In that case I can't help you, since you don’t seem to want to hear the answers. If doubting the existence of a divine creator or master architect makes you sleep better at night, go ahead and believe what you want. I just think it’s a little naive.

I don't believe in magic, Y do u assume all of us do? I've never seen a miracle like turning water into wine, but my mom's cancer was cured when her coworkers who had the exact same cancer died. (they all worked at a waste management company and got sick) I don't really believe in miracles but there's something that kept her alive, and she tells me everyday it was her faith. Good enough answer?

I don't.
The only miracle is in the timing. God himself does not violate the laws of the universe.
